Want to win a brand-new Kia Optima Limited? Well, it's really easy if you're a member of the LPGA and think you can win the Kia Classic this year. That's right, Kia is not only the "Official Tournament Vehicle" for the Ladies Professional Golf Association, but the very first new Kia Optima to roll off the production line in West Point Georgia will be driven away by the tournament winner.
Okay, they also win $225,000, but we think the new Optima is a pretty good reason to play. But, we admit we're a little biased.
Michael Sprague, VP, Marketing and Communications, Kia Motors America says, "Kia is one of the fastest growing auto brands in the U.S., and sports marketing initiatives such as our involvement with the LPGA have significantly raised awareness and consideration for the brand and our vehicles."1
Kia won't just be recognizing the overall winner, either. The Kia Power Drive winner is the player with the longest average drive distance; Kia Drive to the Top is awarded to the player with the most Top 10 finishes; Kia Most Compelling Performance Award recognizes a player with exceptional performances throughout the year; Kia Community Assist Award goes to the player who makes exceptional contributions to charity organizations throughout the year. Each Kia Performance Award winner (those awards listed above), will receive brand-new Optima Limited sedans.
Sprague explains, "We are pleased to offer an enhanced prize package for the winner of this year's Kia Classic. The Optima Limited is Kia's most refined and premium product offering to date and we are excited to showcase the vehicle to golf fans at the Kia Classic and reward some of the tour's best players for their outstanding performances."2
