If you buy a 2012 Kia Soul, you not only get the assurance of Kia's 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, you also get to drive away from Turner Kia in one of America's favorite hatchbacks. It's true! Since the Soul first hit the market four years ago, it's steadily gained recognition around the country for its stylish design, comfortable interior, flexibility, and superior fuel-economy. Let's start with the base model Soul. The next trim level up, the Soul+, starts at $16,300. Changes include a more powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 164-horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. Which is even more impressive considering fuel economy is rated at about 29 mpg combined, regardless of your transmission choice. The + also gains 16-inch alloy wheels, power mirrors and a more powerful speaker system. On top of all that: heated mirrors; extra storage bins; leather-wrapped steering wheel; and metal-looking interior trim. Other optional features include auto headlamps, a rearview camera, Uvo hands-free electronics, eight-speaker sounds system, and tricolor speaker lights.

All the way up at the top of the line is the Soul!, with 18-inch wheels, automatic headlights, foglights, a sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror and a package to upgrade the Audio. The bottom line? You can get all of the above for $19,600, or you can add the Premium package to all of this and get keyless ignition/entry, leather seats,  heated seats, climate control, and a navigation system and pay just over $20k.
